About Department of Textile Engineering

Bartin University, Department of Textile Engineering was established on April 18, 2012 and received its first students in the academic year 2012-2013. During the four-year undergraduate education, various lessons are given in the field such as fiber technology, yarn technology, fabric technology, finishing technology, garment technology, quality control in textile, textile design, and textile management. 

Our aim as Bartin University, Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design, Department of Textile Engineering is to offer a modern education on a national and international scale and to contribute to science and technology with modern educational tools used in developed countries. Moreover, we aim to train bachelor degree students who; - do scientific and technological research to contribute to the development of the regional industry in their field, - have the strong engineering background to meet the needs of today and the future, - have the necessary knowledge in the field of Textile Engineering, - think, examine, and evaluate critically, - have good teamwork skills, - communicate effectively, - are aware of their social, professional and ethical responsibilities.

To train Textile Engineers who; -have internationally-recognized qualifications in their field, -follow the developing technology in the textile industry and try to implement new applications in the institution, -prioritize the benefits of the society and the institution, -analyze, question, prioritize the development of science and improve themselves all the time, -have good communication skills -make their attainments into high-value products for the institution and the country. solve textile-based problems.

This department consists of getting 240 ECTS credits in higher education system in the field of engineering (Textile Engineering). A person who completes succesfully the program of Textile Engineering and has capabilities of the program receives bachelor's degree of Textile engineering.
